Hammersmith Apollo (styled HMV Hammersmith Apollo since 2009) is a major entertainment venue located in Hammersmith, London. Designed by Robert Cromie in Art Deco style, it opened in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace cinema, being renamed the Hammersmith Odeon in 1962. The venue was later refurbished and renamed the Labatt's Apollo following a sponsorship deal (1994). In 2000, it was again renamed, this time as the London Apollo, Hammersmith. In 2002, the venue was again renamed, this time the Carling Apollo. In 2006, the venue reverted to its former name, the Hammersmith Apollo.
