Flotsam & Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam is a thrash metal band from PHX. The band's original name was Paradox, but was changed in 1982 when bassist Jason Newsted joined.


M.O.D. (Method of Destruction) was a crossover thrash band from New York City, fronted by former Anthrax roadie and Stormtroopers of Death vocalist Billy Milano. The band existed from 1986 to 1997, and again from 2001 to 2008. With M.O.D., Milano sought to continue on the musical path of the bands Anthrax and Nuclear Assault, mixing shades of hardcore punk with thrash metal and often humorous and politically incorrect lyrics.


Megadeth is an American heavy metal band formed in 1983 by guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine, bassist Dave Ellefson and guitarist Greg Handevidt following Mustaine's expulsion from Metallica.

Hüsker Dü

Hüsker Dü was an American rock band formed in 1979. The band's continual members were guitarist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton and drummer Grant Hart.


Possessed is an American death metal band, originally formed in 1983. Noted for their fast style of playing and Jeff Becerra's guttural vocals, they are routinely called the first band in the death metal genre.

Dark Angel

Dark Angel was an American thrash metal band from California. Their over-the-top style (extremely fast, heavy and lengthy songs with lots of tempo changes, lyrics and extended instrumental parts) earned them the nickname "the L.A. Caffeine Machine". After releasing four full-length albums and touring extensively throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Dark Angel disbanded in 1992. They decided to reform ten years later, however, Ron Rinehart's vocal issues after an accident forced them to cancel plans to tour further. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus since then.

Johnny Thunders

Johnny Thunders, born John Anthony Genzale, Jr., was an American rock and roll/punk rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He came to prominence in the early 1970s as a member of the New York Dolls. He later played with The Heartbreakers and as a solo artist.

The Del-Lords

The Del-Lords are an American rock band founded by The Dictators' guitarist Scott Kempner. The band combined elements of '60s garage rock with country, blues and folk influences to become one of the initial progenitors of urban-roots-rock. Band members were Scott Kempner, Manny Caiati, Eric Ambel and Frank Funaro.

Lou Reed

Lewis Allan Reed is an American rock musician, songwriter and photographer. He was the guitarist, vocalist and principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground.
