The Cleftones

The Cleftones were a doo-wop group from Queens formed in 1955 at Jamaica High School. The group consisted of Herbie Cox (lead), Charlie McGhee (James) (First tenor), Berman Patterson, (Second tenor), William McClane (Baritone) and Warren Corbin (Bass).

Franklin Joseph Lymon was an American rock and roll/rhythm and blues singer and songwriter, best known as the boy soprano lead singer of a New York City-based early rock and roll group, The Teenagers.

Shep & The Limelites

Shep & The Limelites was an American doo-wop group of the early 1960s. They are best known for their 1961 hit recording, "Daddy's Home".

The Marcels

The Marcels were an American doo-wop group known for turning popular music songs into rock and roll. The group formed in 1959 with lead Cornelius Harp, bass Fred Johnson, Gene Bricker, Ron Mundy, and Richard Knauss. The group was named by Fred Johnson's younger sister Priscilla, after a popular hair style of the day, the marcel wave.

Little Anthony & The Imperials

Little Anthony & The Imperials is a vocal group first active in the 1950s. Lead singer Jerome Anthony "Little Anthony" Gourdine was noted for his high-pitched falsetto voice, influenced by Jimmy Scott. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
